There are quite a few excellent welding schools in the state of Nevada. You will get a full list in this article along with their contact details and websites.

These welding schools can teach you everything you need to become a certified welder. From regular stuff like blueprint reading, shielded metal arc welding, gas metal arc welding to working in aerospace and overall gaining the ability to perform that welding job you want.

But you need to be careful in choosing the school and the program. A lot of programs have classes that you may not be interested in. Your program should have classes that provide training and skills needed for the job you are interested in. You need to learn how to weld and use specific equipment.

For example, if you wish to be a TIG welder primarily, you need to know how to use TIG welding equipment. Or if you are interested in having your own welding shop that does it all, you should know how to use all of the main welding processes and their related equipment. The training needs to be focused on what you are interested in doing after finding employment, whether that is construction, industrial, pipe, fabrication, manufacturing, or anything else.

Average welder salary in Nevada

Welders in Nevada earn on average $47,680 according to the data from U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. That’s a pretty good sum but there are states where welders can earn a significantly higher salary.

The pay you earn will depend a lot on welding certification and your ability to actually display skills. It’s not enough just to have a piece of paper that says what kind of training you were a part of and at what program.

On the national level, there are so many places where a welder can earn an incredible salary. Don’t be afraid to try working in other places.

When you search these schools you will see that they have different approaches and programs offered to their students. That’s because different people see different needs for their career. While a lot of the skills are taught universally it is still better to consider enrollment only in the welding school where you receive all of the training you need and as least as possible of the things you are not interested in.
